Rama Kamaraju is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the public and private sectors, currently serving as Head of State Initiatives at the Microfinance Institutions Network (MFIN) since May 2023. Prior to this role, Rama functioned as a Senior Consultant and Senior Advisor at NITI Aayog, focusing on digital economy measurement and public policy integration. Previous positions include Senior General Manager at the National Institute for Smart Government, where Rambia architected eGovernance projects, and as Head of the PMU for the eBiz Project at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, leading a significant G2B service delivery initiative. Additionally, Rama served as Vice President at Sphinx Systemhouse and held a pivotal role at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, implementing ERP systems and eGovernance frameworks. Rama Kamaraju's academic background includes a Master's in Management from the Asian Institute of Management and a Master's in Science from Osmania University.

Microfinance Industry Network (MFIN) is an Association of Non-Bank Finance Company Micro Finance Institutions (NBFC-MFIs). It was established in October 2009 as the primary representative body of NBFCs engaged in the business of Microfinance. Since its establishment, MFIN has been promoting the key objectives of Microfinance in India and as the Self-Regulatory Organization for the industry, has been working to establish guidelines for responsible lending and client protection. Mission: MFIN’s primary objective is to work towards the robust development of the microfinance sector, by promoting responsible lending, client protection, good governance and a supportive regulatory environment Vision: To be an engine of inclusive growth for India and help provide financial services to 100 million low income households by the year 2020, in a responsible and transparent manner.
