Ivan Zelina

Chief Technology Officer at Micromine

Ivan Zelina has extensive experience in the software and technology industry. Ivan started their career as a Software Engineer at Micromine in 1993, where they worked on programming in C and C++ for geological modeling and graphical interpretation. Ivan then joined RUST PPK Pty Ltd as a Hydrogeologist in 1995, specializing in groundwater modeling and developing software for solute transport simulation.

In 1996, Ivan returned to Micromine as a Senior Software Engineer and later became the Team Leader of the flagship software development product team. Ivan played a crucial role in the release of the first Windows version of the Micromine product, which involved porting it from C to C++ and transitioning from 16-bit to 32-bit.

In 1999, Ivan joined ERG Group as a Technical Coordinator, leading teams of software engineers and contributing to the development and supply of automated fare collection systems. Ivan worked at ERG Group until 2004, when they transitioned to Micromine as the Chief Technology Officer. In this role, Ivan managed the design and development of all software products and oversaw the company's IT department. Ivan also served as a member of the company's Executive Committee, reporting directly to the CEO.

Ivan Zelina completed their education in two different universities. Ivan began their studies in 1987 at Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, where they pursued a Masters Degree in Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology. Their education at this institution lasted from 1987 to 1992. Following this, Ivan Zelina attended the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, from 2007 to 2011, where they earned an MBA (Exec) in Business Administration.
