Z Zakaria has an extensive work experience in sales, marketing, and engineering. In 2021, they began their role as Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Engineering at Micron Industries Corporation, a premier provider of Control Transformers, General Purpose Transformers, and Power Supplies. In 2020, they were the Asia Pacific (APAC) Market Penetration Advisor and the Strategic Marketing & Product Development Advisor at Sidecar Commercial Real Estate, LLC. From 2013 to 2020, they held various roles at MTE Corporation, including VP Strategy and Product Management, APAC Director of Business Development, Interim Global VP Sales and Marketing, and Director of Marketing. In 2008, they were the Business Development Director at Actuant Corporation. From 2006 to 2008, they were the Global Business Team Leader at Dymo Industrial, A Newell Rubbermaid Company. Finally, from 1995 to 2006, they were the Senior Product Manager at Brady Corporation.

Z Zakaria obtained a BS in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University in 1993, followed by an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 1995. In 2009, they obtained an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. In October 2002, they obtained a Product Management Fundamentals certification from the Wisconsin School of Business Center for Professional & Executive Development. In December 2020, they obtained an AWS Internet of Things Foundation Series certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
