Jim Fitzpatrick is the Sr. Director of QLC Solutions at Micron Technology, where they lead a team focused on advancing NAND, controller, and firmware technologies. Previously, Fitzpatrick served as a Principal Engineer at Seagate Technology, where they integrated new technologies to enhance drive reliability and manufacturing yield. Their experience also includes a tenure as Director at Maxtor, managing the development of algorithms to optimize disk drive yields, and as Principal Engineer at Smart Modular Technologies, where they architected innovative solutions to extend NAND flash life. Fitzpatrick holds a PhD in Communication Theory and Systems from UC San Diego.
