John Murphy is a highly experienced firmware engineer with a robust background in developing and implementing firmware for storage solutions and embedded systems. Presently serving as a Senior Member of Technical Staff in Firmware Engineering at Micron Technology since October 2021, John previously held significant roles at Burlywood, LLC as a Firmware Architect, where key projects included SSD controller firmware for SATA, NVMe, and Open channel solutions. Prior experience at Micron involved leading firmware architecture for mobile storage and enterprise SSDs, while roles at Western Digital and InPhase Technologies included senior positions focusing on HDD/SSD firmware and holographic storage solutions, respectively.
