Clémence MEDINA's work experience includes various roles in different companies. Clémence started their career in 2009 with an internship at the INRA French National Institute for Agricultural Research, where they focused on fractionation and pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass. Clémence then had an internship at IRD in 2011, where they studied the life cycle of a nematode. In 2012, they had another internship at CIRAD, studying the regulation of viral integrations in the banana genome. In 2013, they started a PhD project at the INRA, focusing on the characterization of plant regulatory small RNA involved in the establishment of giant cells induced by phytoparasitic nematodes. Simultaneously, they had an internship at IRD, studying the extinction of rice immunity caused by the induction of plant regulatory small RNAs. In 2018, they joined Anova-Plus as an R&D engineer, and later became a project manager at MicroPEP in January 2021.

Clémence Medina's education history begins in 2007 when they studied at IUT Montpellier-Sete, earning a DUT in Biological Engineering - Food Industries in 2009. Following that, they attended the University of Montpellier from 2009 to 2011, where they obtained a Licence in Plant Molecular Biology. Clémence then continued their studies at the University of Montpellier from 2011 to 2013, completing a Master 2 (M2) degree in Plant Molecular Biology.
