Omar Kulbrandstad

Omar Kulbrandstad has been working in the oil and gas industry since 1984. Omar started their career at Schlumberger in various field and management positions. In 2000, they were recruited by Norse Electronics as General Manager to establish a presence in the Asia-Pacific market. In 2001, they co-founded RigNet with two other co-founders, overseeing the creation of the business plan and acquisition of necessary capital. Omar also served as CEO, Board Director and Co-Founder, and COO, Board Director and Co-Founder. In 2008, they became Vice President Asia Pacific at Bergen Oilfield Services (BOS). From 2013 to 2016, they served as Executive Advisor at GroundMetrics, Inc. Most recently, they have been CEO and Co-Founder at MicroSilicon Inc since 2016.

Omar Kulbrandstad attended the University Trondheim in Norway from 1981 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics.
