Amgad Madkour

Amgad Madkour is currently a Principal Engineering Manager at Microsoft AI, where they lead product tracking initiatives that enhance user shopping experiences. With extensive experience in AI platforms, Amgad previously held roles at Microsoft, including Senior Engineering Manager and Data & Applied Scientist II, contributing to projects such as Microsoft Autos AI Assistant and Bing entity matching operations. Prior to Microsoft, they worked as a Research Engineer at IBM, co-inventing a patented tag recommendation technique and developing systems for biomedical text and machine-assisted translation. Amgad started their career as an intern at Yahoo, creating a recommendation system for local businesses. They are also pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science at Purdue University.
