Ankur Mallick is a Senior Researcher in the M365 Research team at Microsoft, focusing on monitoring and efficiency of Large Language Model (LLM) infrastructure. They graduated with a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in July 2022, where their work received the Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship in 2019 and the ACM SIGMETRICS 2020 Best Paper Award. Ankur's research has also been highlighted in the Communications of the ACM. Prior to their role at Microsoft, they gained experience as a Graduate Student Researcher and Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, as well as in internships at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Sony.
