Carlo Curino

Carlo Curino is a seasoned expert in computer engineering with extensive experience in artificial intelligence, database, and cloud computing technologies. Since June 2012, Carlo has been with Microsoft, currently serving as Partner Scientist Group Manager of the Gray Systems Lab, an applied research group focused on impactful technology solutions. Previous roles at Microsoft include managing the integration of the Cloud and Information Services Lab and significant contributions to big data research. Carlo is also an Apache member and has a strong background in academic research, having held postdoctoral and research positions at institutions such as MIT and UCLA. With an educational foundation that includes a Ph.D. from Politecnico di Milano and multiple advanced degrees in computer science, Carlo has made substantial contributions across academia and industry through publications, open-source projects, and product deployments.
