Joan Jasak, PhD, served as a Principal Research Manager at Microsoft since 2022, guiding research direction for low-code product development in the business application space. Previously, they held the position of Principal Design Researcher at Microsoft from 2021 to 2023, where they provided strategic insights for conversational AI experiences. Joan's experience includes roles as an adjunct instructor and graduate research assistant at Temple University from 2005 to 2013, and as a game designer and web strategist in various companies between 2013 and 2015. Joan holds a PhD in Linguistics and Systems Theory from Temple University, complemented by a Master’s in Philosophy and a BA in History and Philosophy from Rosemont College, graduating summa cum laude.
