Simone Fobi

Simone Fobi is a Senior Research Scientist at the Microsoft AI for Good Lab, focusing on data mining to enhance electricity provision services in Africa and the development of low-cost energy monitoring devices. They obtained a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Oregon State University, followed by a Master's degree from Stanford University, and later pursued a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Columbia University. Prior to their current role, Simone worked on energy and healthcare projects at IBM Research Africa. Their research involves applying advanced machine learning and computer vision techniques to analyze electricity consumption patterns and optimize network design.
