Teny Shapiro

Teny Shapiro is a Principal Data Science Manager at Microsoft, where they focus on value metric development, research collaboration, and AI concept scaling. With over 15 years of experience, Teny has a strong background in product analytics, experimentation, and data democratization, previously working as a Data Scientist at Microsoft and a Senior Data Scientist at Slack. Teny has also served as an Assistant Professor of Economics at both Santa Clara University and UC Merced, specializing in health and education quantitative research. They have a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Davis, along with a Master's and Bachelor's in the same field from the University of California, Davis and University of California, San Diego, respectively. Currently, Teny is also a Board Member at Lafayette Partners in Education.
