Thomas Roccia

Thomas Roccia is an accomplished author, speaker, and senior threat researcher at Microsoft with over a decade of cybersecurity experience. They have actively worked on major cyberattacks and led initiatives focusing on malware research, threat hunting, and incident response. Thomas founded the Unprotect Project in 2015, launched innovative platforms such as YaraToolkit, and was an early adopter of generative AI for threat intelligence. In 2023, they published the bestselling book *Visual Threat Intelligence: An Illustrated Guide for Threat Researchers*, which received the Bronze Foreword INDIES Award in Science & Technology. Currently, Thomas continues to contribute to the cybersecurity community as a content creator and mentor.
