Vikas Ahluwalia is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in software and firmware development. Currently serving as a Director at Microsoft since May 2015, Vikas leads product development for the Surface line. Previously, Vikas held positions as a Senior Manager and Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, where responsibilities included overseeing software and firmware projects as well as system software development. Prior to Microsoft, Vikas was a Senior Software Engineer at Lenovo following its acquisition of IBM's server division and spent 17 years at IBM working on various system software projects, including Windows kernel drivers and embedded firmware. Vikas holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from BIT Mesra and a Master of Technology in Computer Science from Jawaharlal Nehru Vishvavidyalaya.
