Hassan ABO ESMAIL is an experienced professional in the field of microfinance and community development, currently serving as the Branch Manager at microStart since October 2017. In this role, Hassan oversees the organization’s efforts to provide microcredit and support small business development in Belgium, previously contributing as a Community Manager and Microcredit Advisor. Prior to joining microStart, Hassan held multiple positions at The First Microfinance Bank in Syria from May 2009 to April 2015, including Senior Compliance Officer and Risk Officer, where responsibilities involved implementing compliance programs and developing risk management strategies. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Loan Officer at the Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance in Syria. Hassan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature from Jami't Al-Ba'ath.
