Elizabeth Heffernan has over 30 years of experience in the retirement income industry. Elizabeth began their career in 1989 as a Benefits Coordinator at First Colonial Bankshares. In 1992, they moved to Northwestern University as a Benefits Manager. In 1995, they joined Fidelity Investments as a VP Product Management. In 2017, Elizabeth moved to Hueler Companies, Inc. as a Managing Director Business Development. In 2019, they returned to Fidelity Investments as an Investment Strategies Consultant. In 2022, Elizabeth joined Micruity as the Head of Partnerships and Consulting Strategy. In this role, they are focused on building and supporting partnerships across the Retirement Income ecosystem using the Micruity data sharing infrastructure to enable defined contribution participants to utilize retirement income products.
Elizabeth Heffernan completed their Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, General from the University of Iowa between 1986 and 1988. Before that, they attended Cornell College for two years (1984-1986) studying English and Philosophy.
