Russell Hoover

Russell is Mid-America’s Director of Information Technology. He brings more than 30 years of experience in this field. Over the course of his career, he has served as Senior Network Engineer, IT Manager, IT Director, Datacenter Manager, and Vice President / CIO of a large software company. Russell has been recognized as a subject matter expert in information security best practices, audit compliance management, and operational procedures, including network design, performance tuning, staff management, and training. He is also skilled in threat and vulnerability management, corporate security strategic planning, security risk evaluations, and security/privacy requirements analysis. Russell is versed in project management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. He has built and operated large-scale complex networks and data centers.

Russell served on the City of Mobile Information Technology Task Force, enabling the city to achieve and maintain a standard of excellence in Information Technology.

Russell holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from Southeast College.
