Daniel J. Cohen is a Principal of Mid-America Real Estate -Wisconsin, L.L.C., responsible for client services and business development for the Tenant Representation Group. As President of the Wisconsin office, he also oversees and coordinates Mid-America’s core mission of retail real estate expertise, knowledge, and experience in leasing, site selection, investment sales, market trends, and capital market strategies in the Wisconsin market.

Prior to founding Mid-America Real Estate -Wisconsin, L.L.C. 16 years ago, Mr. Cohen worked for MLG Commercial, Inc. of Brookfield, Wisconsin, and was awarded the 1999 MLG Commercial “Sales Associate of the Year.” Since 2005, Mr. Cohen has received three “Retail Deal of the Year” awards: two from the Commercial Association of Realtors-Wisconsin (CARW) and one from The Business Journal. Before returning to his home state of Wisconsin, Mr. Cohen worked in Chicago, Illinois, from 1987 to 1995 for Walsh, Higgins & Company in leasing and asset management and for EY/Kenneth Leventhal & Company in their real estate advisory group.

Mr. Cohen earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, in 1987 while performing his undergraduate studies at Miami University and Harvard University. In 1991, Mr. Cohen earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. He is active in the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), having served as ICSC State Government Affairs Chairman and ICSC Co-Chairman of Public Relations and Community Services; as a director of CARW from 2011-2015; and as a member of ChainLinks Retail Advisors.
