Thomas Levanos has extensive work experience in various leadership and advisory roles. Thomas worked at Mid-America Transplant as the Director of Performance Excellence and Business Intelligence, where they incorporated data from different departments to improve collaboration and identify gaps in the donation and transplant process. Thomas also served as the Business Intelligence Manager, overseeing a team that provided actionable insights to support the organization's mission. Prior to this, they worked as a Performance Excellence Advisor at the same company, driving process improvement initiatives and creating data visualizations for better insights.
Before their time at Mid-America Transplant, Thomas worked at SSM Health as the Director of Volunteer Services and Internal Medicine Clinic. Thomas also held the position of Director of Volunteer Services, where they built a community of volunteers to enhance patient experience. In addition, they served as the Interim Value Stream Facilitator for Perioperative Services, facilitating improvement events and managing completion plans.
At Child Evangelism Fellowship, Inc., Thomas held multiple roles, including Executive Director of Operations, Director of Human Resources, and Ministry Preparation and Recruitment Manager.

Thomas Levanos attended Harvard University from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Chemistry and Physics. Thomas then pursued further education at Liberty University from 2005 to 2008, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration.

Since 1974, Mid-America Transplant has served as the regional organ and tissue procurement organization for eastern Missouri, southern Illinois, and northeast Arkansas, serving 4.7 million people in 84 counties. From our founding goal to assist in the coordination of kidney donations, we have grown to become a multi-faceted organization dedicated to saving lives and enhancing the quality of all donated organs and tissues currently available for transplant. Located in Saint Louis, Missouri, Mid-America is one of 56 federally designated organizations of its kind in the United States. Mid-America Transplant's primary service offering is to facilitate and coordinate the organ and tissue donation process. With a mission to save lives through excellence in organ and tissue donation, we have been at the forefront of enhancing the quality of organs and tissue for transplant and a leader in eye bank services.
