Mark Petty

Mark Petty began his career at CenturyLink as an OSP Engineer in Charlottesville, Virginia after graduating from Virginia Tech with a BS in Electrical Engineering. Before coming to MBC, he served as Director of OSP Plant Engineering for Lumos, where he led the engineering effort for an 800-mile expansion in Central and Eastern Virginia. Mark has had the opportunity throughout his career to support the design, engineering, deployment, and management of broadband networks for residential, small and large businesses, wireless providers, and government agencies in an eight-state region, including Virginia.

Mark grew up in the rural Southwest Virginia town of Galax where furniture and textiles were the main industries and, thus, understands the importance of broadband connectivity and job creation for communities like these.
