Software Development Lead at Mid-Day Squares

Madison Dunning began their professional career as a Machine Shop Supervisor at George Fox University in 2014. In 2015, they interned at Streimer Sheet Metal Works, Inc. where they addressed mechanical design problems to create fixtures and tools to aid in the fabrication of sheet metal products. In 2016, they worked as a Junior Software Developer at Prosper IT Consulting, where they created full-stack web applications using C#, ASP. NET, SQL Server, and Entity Framework. In 2017, they became a Software Developer at QSROnline.com, LLC, where they wrote SQL queries, used and wrote SQL stored procedures, debugged existing code, and developed new software related to restaurant management. Finally, in 2020, they became the Software Development Lead at Mid-Day Squares, where they were responsible for all data automation, including building out the internal portal used by the team for managing reporting, conducting payroll, integrating with the manufacturing tools, and interacting with shipping APIs.

Madison Dunning began their education in 2012 at Skagit Valley College, where they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree. Madison then attended George Fox University from 2014 to 2016, where they completed three years toward a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2016, they attended The Tech Academy Portland for a year to study Computer Software Engineering. In 2018, Dunning returned to the University of Maryland Global Campus, where they completed a Bachelor's degree in Software Development and Cyber Security. Madison continued their studies at the University of Maryland Global Campus, completing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Software Engineering in 2021.
