Dave Spears

David Spears currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of MKC. In this role since 2009, he directs all sales and marketing activities in agronomy and oversees Rice County Aerial, LLC. He also advises on the product development and marketing activities in the areas of grain, energy and risk management. Prior to his professional career, Dave worked on his family’s diversified livestock and grain enterprise in north central Kansas and is still actively involved in agriculture production. He received his B.S. degree in agricultural economics from Kansas State University in 1979. After graduating from college, he joined the lending division of the Wichita Bank for Cooperatives (later CoBank), as, among other positions, Assistant Vice President, responsible for supervising the delivery of financial services and products to Cobank's customers. During this period, he also served on various bank management, advisory and loan committees.
