Bruce A. Kiefer

Mr. Kiefer has worked as a chemist in the Research & Development Department and Quality & Regulatory departments of The Hershey Company since 1984. During his career, he has held various scientific and management roles within the company. Along with his management responsibilities, he oversees the Laboratory Information Management System database and serves as the company’s Chemical Hygiene Officer. He is also a managing partner of Lawrence Keister & Co. Mr. Kiefer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Dickinson College and a Master of Science degree in food science from The Pennsylvania State University. He was a founding member of Pedal for Goodness (formerly the Tour de Chocolate Town) charitable bicycle ride to benefit Children’s Miracle Network. Mr. Kiefer has served as the treasurer on the Keystone Section of the Institute of Food Technologists for more than 25 years and is a member of the Scholarship Committee. Additionally, he has served as the treasurer of the Food Industry Group Food Science Alumni Association for more than 20 years.
