Walter Goodine

Walter Goodine has extensive experience in various roles within the engineering and manufacturing industry. Walter began their career at Scott Paper as an Asset Engineer in 1993 before moving to Champion International as a Plant Engineer in 1995. From 1998 to 2006, Walter worked at Georgia-Pacific LLC, where they served as a Pulp Mill Resource and later as a CLO2 plant and ReCaust Manager. Walter then joined Huhtamaki as a Production Manager for Rough Finished Products and Lamination from 2006 to 2008. Walter worked at Verso Paper from 2008 to 2014, starting as a Maintenance Superintendent and gradually progressing to become a Business Unit Manager for the Pulp Mill and Utilities. In 2015, they joined Expera Specialty Solutions as a Business Unit Manager, and a month later, they also started working at Mid-South Engineering as a Senior Project Manager. Walter was promoted to Director of Operations at Mid-South Engineering in December 2016, where they continue to excel.

Walter Goodine has a strong educational background in business administration, pulp and paper technology, and mechanical engineering technology. Walter obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the University of Maine between 1995 and 1998, with a focus on Business Administration and Management. Prior to that, they completed a 5th Year Pulp and Paper Certificate at the same university from 1992 to 1993, specializing in Pulp and Paper Technology. Walter also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Maine, which they earned between 1987 and 1992.

In addition to their formal education, Walter has obtained various certifications to enhance their professional skills. These include being a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional since September 2014, Green Belt Certified since July 2007, and certified in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma since October 2006. The institutions from which these certifications were obtained are not specified.
