Associate Medical Director Of Clinical Informatics at Samaritan Health Services

Roheet Kakaday, MD, MS has had a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Roheet is currently serving as the Associate Medical Director of Clinical Informatics at Samaritan Health Services since October 2023. Previously, they worked as an Urgent Care Physician at Kaiser Parma from December 2019 to September 2023. Dr. Kakaday also held various roles at Oregon Health & Science University, including Clinical Informatics Fellow, Resident Physician, and Clinic Chief Resident. During their time there, they developed EHR-based tools, standardized care across multiple disease states, and implemented workflow interventions to improve clinic efficiency. Additionally, they nearly doubled the referral rate of low-resource patients by creating a novel referral pathway. Before that, they founded Lean On in 2014 and served as an Advisor at Stanford Medicine X until June 2017. Overall, Dr. Kakaday has contributed significantly to the healthcare industry through their clinical and informatics expertise.

Roheet Kakaday, MD, MS, obtained a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in Medicine from Oregon Health & Science University in 2017. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate education at UC San Diego from 2008 to 2012, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Bioengineering: Premedical. In addition to their degrees, they hold various certifications, including Human Subjects Research (HSR) and Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) from the CITI Program, as well as a Physician Builder certification from Epic. Roheet also achieved Board Certification in Family Medicine from the American Board of Family Medicine in 2020.
