Helene Bjerre-Nielsen

Helene Bjerre-Nielsen is an experienced project leader and board member with a significant focus on sustainability and environmental management. Currently serving as Projektleder Klimaplan at Middelfart Kommune since January 2021, Helene is also a co-founder and board member of Foreningen Andelsgaarde, which promotes broader ownership of Danish agricultural land. Helene holds board positions at Dansk Økojord A/S, where initiatives aim to acquire and manage sustainable farming ventures, and has previously worked as the director of Chora 2030, driving sustainable actions towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals. A program manager at VILLUM FONDEN and VELUX FONDEN from 2010 to 2017, Helene has been involved in various roles related to environmental consulting, including positions within the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Environment Commission. Helene holds an academic engineering degree in Chemistry and Environment from DTU - Technical University of Denmark.
