Melissa Eaton

Melissa Eaton is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Middesk since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Greenshoe from September 2021 to August 2022. Before that, they were employed at Checkr, Inc. from February 2021 to September 2021 as a Senior Software Engineer and from March 2018 to January 2021 as a Software Engineer. From October 2016 to February 2018, Melissa worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Skillz Inc. Melissa also had a brief role as a Hacker in Residence at App Academy from July 2016 to September 2016. Melissa gained experience in the media industry by working at CNN, where they served as a CNNgo Associate Producer from March 2015 to April 2016, a Freelance Video Editor from November 2014 to March 2015, and a News Assistant/Video Journalist from October 2013 to February 2015. Moreover, they had internships at CNN as an International Special Projects Intern from January 2013 to April 2013 and at the Georgia State Senate as an Intern from January 2011 to April 2011. Melissa also worked as a Craft Center Attendant at the Georgia Institute of Technology from November 2011 to May 2013.

Melissa Eaton completed their Bachelor of Science degree in International Affairs from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2013. In 2012, they participated in the AMIDEAST Study Abroad Program in Amman, Jordan, immersing herself in an advanced Arabic language program. In 2015, Melissa obtained a Certificate in Full Stack Web Development from freeCodeCamp. In 2016, they furthered their education in software development by attending App Academy.
