Yan Zeng

Yan Zeng currently serves as the Head of Data at Middesk, leading initiatives in Data Science, AI/ML, and Data Platform since July 2025. Prior to this role, Yan held various positions at Plaid, where responsibilities included heading the Payment Risk Product and contributing to API-based machine learning products; at Intuit as Principal Lead in Risk Management & Payment Products; and at Gusto! as Head of Credit Risk. Earlier experience also includes significant roles at Lending Club and Discover Financial Services, focusing on risk management, underwriting, and credit pricing. Yan's academic background features advanced degrees from multiple institutions, including an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and Master's degrees in Statistics and Industrial Engineering. Yan has also contributed to academia through teaching and research assistant roles at the University of Tennessee and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
