Merhan Hamdy

Merhan Hamdy has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Merhan began their career in 1998 as an Assistant to the Administration & Financial Manager at Global One. Following this, they worked as a Senior Customer Coordinator at MenaNet Communications, where they handled sales calls, made contracts with customers, and maintained reports of subscribers' internet usage. In 2000, they joined Melody Holding Group as an Assistant to the Chairman, where they managed the administration work for the chairman's office and coordinated PR and label activities.

In 2007, Merhan joined Platinum Records - MBC Group as a Video & Concert Coordinator in the Artist Management & Marketing Department. Here, they were responsible for marketing and advertising tasks, managing artists' events and programs, booking studios, coordinating concerts, and updating media reports. Merhan then moved to MBC Group Ltd, where they served as a Marketing & PR Executive for Audio & Music at Platinum Records. In this role, they worked on tactical actions for release deadlines, coordinated with TV, radio, and media for new releases, and distributed video clips and hit singles.

In 2018, Merhan became the Marketing Communications Manager at Rotana Music / Rotana Audio Visual. Their responsibilities included delivering communication programs to enhance brand awareness, producing high-quality marketing material, reporting on marketing initiatives, contributing to strategic marketing plans, monitoring markets, generating ideas, managing budgets and resources, maintaining relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with brand standards.

Currently, Merhan works as a Talent Booking Agent at MBC GROUP, where their responsibilities include booking talent and managing press conferences and events.

Throughout their career, Merhan has gained extensive experience in marketing, communications, PR, artist management, and coordination, showcasing their versatile skill set and ability to adapt to different roles and responsibilities.

Merhan Hamdy obtained a Bachelor's degree in Radio and Television from the Faculty of Mass communication at Cairo University, from 1994 to 1998. In addition, they obtained certifications in Mobile Marketing Foundations and Online Marketing Foundations from LinkedIn in August 2020.
