Yusra Asif

Yusra Asif's work experience starts with their role as a Broadcast News Reporter for UD Student Television Network 49News from August 2019 to May 2021. During this time, they covered news stories on and off campus, served as a news Anchor and Floor Director, and assisted the Producer with the show.

In 2021, Yusra joined Wjbr 99.5 Fm as a Digital Content Producer, where they interned as a local news reporter. Their responsibilities included pitching and writing 3-4 stories on local Delaware news from February to May 2021.

Simultaneously, Yusra worked as an Associate News Editor for UDReview from December 2020 to June 2021. Yusra started as a staff reporter and later became a senior news reporter, copy editor, and then moved up to Associate News Editor. Yusra worked closely with the Managing News Editor to organize and develop content for the News Section, pitching stories and assigning and producing stories for the News Section.

Yusra also worked as a Promotions Assistant for Beasley Media Group from June 2021 to September 2022.

In 2021, they joined Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK as a Reporter from July 2021 to June 2023. Yusra additionally served as a Reporting Intern for the same company from June 2021 to July 2021.

Yusra then worked as a Content Writer for Gulf News from September 2022 to June 2023.

Their latest work experience is as a Journalist Al Arabiya for MBC GROUP, starting from June 2023.

Yusra Asif obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Delaware. Yusra pursued this undergraduate program from 2018 to 2021.
