Fadi Nicholas N. is a seasoned professional in the fields of political science, international affairs, and conflict resolution, currently serving as a U.S.-Lebanon Fellow at the Middle East Institute since November 2022. Fadi holds multiple academic positions at Lebanese American University, including Director of the Institute for Social Justice and Conflict Resolution and Assistant Professor of Political Science and International Affairs. Additionally, Fadi is a Research Fellow at the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies, and has previously consulted for the World Bank on topics related to disaster risk management and resilience in Lebanon and Iraq. Fadi's academic background includes a PhD in War Studies from King's College London, an MPA from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and a BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. Other notable positions include visiting fellow at Sciences Po and doctoral fellow at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy.

Middle East Institute
Founded in 1946, the Middle East Institute (MEI) is the oldest Washington, DC-based institution dedicated exclusively to the study of the Middle East. Its founders, scholar George Camp Keiser and former US Secretary of State Christian Herter laid out a simple mandate: “to increase knowledge of the Middle East among the citizens of the United States and to promote a better understanding between the people of these two areas.” MEI is a respected, non-partisan voice in the field of Middle East studies.
