Alyana Santillana

Alyana Santillana is a dedicated and proactive individual currently serving as a Summer Intern with Teacher Salary Project, where responsibilities include grassroots advocacy and research to promote teacher salary increases. As Director of Operations for the Student Government Association and a Rohatyn Global Fellow at Middlebury College, Alyana conducts research on local immigrant communities and mentors first-generation college applicants. Additionally, Alyana participated in the Narrative Journalism Fellowship, contributing to projects that build community understanding. Previous experience includes roles as a Summer News Intern at Addison Independent, an Undergraduate Research Assistant at CUNY York College, and various leadership positions within community-oriented organizations. Alyana pursues education at Middlebury College, following a high school diploma from Heritage High School and studies at Los Medanos College and Princeton University.
