Darcy Bretz

Darcy Bretz has extensive experience in corporate communications and public relations. Darcy started their career at the Financial Relations Board in 1994, working as the Senior Vice President and Midwest Manager of Media Relations, where they advised public companies on interacting with the media and reaching the investment audience. In 2000, they joined Edelman as a Vice President, primarily focusing on Financial PR and working with the Technology and Reputation Management Practices. Darcy was a global manager for the Expedia account, providing PR support during the company's transition as a public company. Since 2003, Darcy has been with The Middleby Corporation, initially serving as the Director of Corporate Communications and later promoted to the role of Vice President of Corporate Communications. In their current position, they lead the communications efforts for the company and its 100+ brands across three business segments. Darcy reports directly to the CEO, manages investor inquiries, and develops corporate strategies for marketing initiatives.

Darcy Bretz received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and History from Indiana University Bloomington between 1985 and 1989. Darcy also holds a certification as a Certified Foodservice Professional from the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM).
