James Adams

James Adams currently serves as the Head Men's Basketball Coach at IU Columbus and has held the position since November 2023. With a strong background in education and coaching, James has also been the Student and Family Engagement Specialist at Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District since September 2016 and has contributed to Madison Area Technical College as Co Head Coach and Assistant Women's Basketball Coach since August 2019. As the Owner of Wisconsin Starz since July 2009, James has demonstrated entrepreneurial skills in youth sports. Prior experience includes serving as an Ed Assistant and Girls Varsity Head Basketball Coach at Madison Metropolitan School District from September 2011 to September 2016. Academically, James holds a Master's Degree in Recreation and Sports Science from Ohio University (2014-2016) and a Bachelor of Science in Counseling Psychology from UW Whitewater/Upper Iowa University (2010-2014).
