James Carns

James Carns began their work experience as a Mechanical Engineer at AVCA Corporation in August 1996. James then moved on to GEM Inc in November 1998, where they worked as a Project Manager. In this role, they implemented Building Information Modeling and virtual design and construction to improve productivity and reduce rework on construction projects. James successfully combined 3D laser mapping and VDC on retrofit construction projects to increase prefabrication opportunities and improve project coordination. Carns joined Middough in August 2011 as a Project Engineer, and their current role and end date are not specified.

James Carns earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from The University of Toledo between 1989 and 1994.
