Hendrik Mommaerts has a diverse work experience spanning from 2009 to the present. Hendrik started their career as a PhD student at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven from 2009 to 2014. Hendrik then worked as a Test & Qualification Engineer at Advipro from 2015 to 2017, where they led qualification and validation activities for a new automated production line and performed retrospective validation of production equipment. From 2017 to 2022, Hendrik worked at pi life sciences consultancy in various roles including Consultant, Associate Manager, and Project Manager. In these roles, they were involved in quality risk assessment, calibration strategies, and developing business cases and quality frameworks for medical device start-ups. Currently, they are the Quality Control Lead at miDiagnostics from 2022 onwards.
Hendrik Mommaerts has a PhD in Biomedical Sciences, General from KU Leuven, which they obtained between 2009 and 2014. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences, General from the same university between 2004 and 2009. Their earlier education includes attending Heilige Drievuldigheidscollege from 1998 to 2004, where they studied Latijn-Wetenschappen. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Prince 2 foundation: Project Management certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in September 2017. Hendrik also participated in various meetings and conferences related to their field of study between 2011 and 2014 and obtained FELASA B and FELASA C certifications from the FEDERATION OF EUROPEAN LABORATORY ANIMAL SCIENCE ASSOCIATIONS.
