Mike Prentis

Mike Prentis currently serves as a Governor and member of the Finance & Resources and Group Risk & Audit Committees at MidKent College, having joined the Finance & Resources Committee in February 2023. Since March 2021, Mike has held the position of Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at Central Asia Metals PLC, and also serves as a Non-Executive Director at Invesco Perpetual UK Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc, where Mike was appointed Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Management Engagement Committee in June 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Fund Manager and Managing Director at BlackRock from January 2005 to June 2019, Investment Manager and Local Director at 3i Group plc from March 1986 to December 2004, and Business Systems Analyst at Schlumberger from March 1985 to March 1986. Mike began the professional career as Assistant Manager in Audit at KPMG UK from September 1979 to March 1985. Mike Prentis holds an education from Trinity College Cambridge, where studies were completed from 1976 to 1979, and Eastbourne College from 1970 to 1975.
