Matt Travis has a diverse work experience in the field of arts and music. Matt started their career at Trinity-Pawling School as a Music Director, where they worked from an unknown start date until 2014. Matt then moved on to UConn, where they served as a Conductor and a Graduate Student from August 2014 onwards. Currently, they are associated with Midland Center for the Arts, holding multiple roles such as Chief Operating Officer, Senior Director of Artistic Planning, and Director of Choral and Orchestral Programs since January 2017 and March 2022 respectively.
Matt Travis has a strong background in music education. Matt completed their Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance at the University of Michigan in 2006. Matt then pursued their Master of Music in Choral Conducting at Penn State University, which they completed in 2009.
