Mike Merle is senior vice president and chief administrative officer for Midland Credit Management (MCM).
In his current role, Mr. Merle is responsible for the human resources, facilities, and accounting functions for MCM. Prior to this role, Mr. Merle served as managing vice president of human resources, leading recruiting, talent management, development, benefits administration, and human resources support across MCM. Mr. Merle also previously served as vice president of strategy and performance for MCM, where he led analytics and performance management teams focused on delivering upon the legal collections budget. Mr. Merle joined MCM in 2014.
Prior to joining MCM, Mr. Merle worked for Tetra Tech, Inc, first as CFO and controller of a firm which was acquired by Tetra Tech, and then at the parent company leading mergers and acquisitions activity in the engineering and consulting sector. Prior to Tetra Tech, Mr. Merle worked for Capital One Financial Corporation leading a team of operations analysts and risk managers within the U.S. card business. Mr. Merle started his career as an associate in the management consulting industry at A.T. Kearney, Inc.
Mr. Merle holds an MBA (Palmer Scholar) from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and operations research (graduating summa cum laude) from Princeton University.
