Jim Ballsrud

Jim Ballsrud has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jim started their career at Champaign National Bank in 1971, where they served as Vice President and Cashier until 1982. Jim then moved on to First State Bank of Monticello, where they held the position of Executive Vice President and Cashier from 1982 to 1997. In 1997, they became the owner of a Batteries Plus franchise, a role they held until 2007. Jim then joined CIB Marine Bancshares in 2000 as the Senior Vice President and Director of Retail Banking, before becoming the Chief Financial Officer at Strategic Capital Bank from 2002 to 2009. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Risk Management at Midland States Bank since 2009.

Jim Ballsrud completed their Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Finance at Eastern Illinois University from 1966 to 1970. Jim then pursued their Masters of Business Administration with a focus in Finance at the University of Missouri-Columbia between 1970 and 1971.
