Matt Franklin has extensive experience in the affordable housing sector. Matthew O. "Matt" served as the President of MidPen Housing Corporation, overseeing all aspects of the company and leading its strategic direction. Matthew O. "Matt" also held positions as the Director of the Mayor's Office of Housing for the City of San Francisco, and as the Director of the California Department of Housing and Community Development. Additionally, Matt has been a member of the Board of Directors for the National Housing Trust and the Housing Partnership Network. Matthew O. "Matt" also served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Non-Profit Housing Association of Northern California. Prior to their work in the affordable housing sector, Matt held positions at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Matt Franklin obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Colgate University, where they attended from 1983 to 1987. Following this, they pursued further education at Harvard University from 1992 to 1994, earning a Master's Degree in Public Policy.
