Philippa Johnston

Philippa Johnston is an experienced educator and engineering professional, currently serving as the Assistant Head Teacher Design and Technology Lead at Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership since September 2022. Prior to this role, Philippa held positions including Hayesfield School Careers Leader and Design and Technology Lead, and KS3 Design and Technology Lead at KINGDOWN SCHOOL. Philippa began in education as a Design and Technology Teacher at DEVIZES SCHOOL. Before transitioning to education, Philippa worked as an Associate Structural Engineer at Structura Inc. and as a Structural Design Engineer at Whitby Bird Engineers. Philippa holds a Master of Engineering degree in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering from the University of Leeds, a Level 6 Careers Leadership qualification from the Career Development Institute, a PGCE in Secondary Design and Technology from Bath Spa University, and participated in a Study Abroad Programme at Penn State University.
