Tom Cappas MBA, MS RTR MR has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, specializing in radiology. Tom began their career in 2004 as the Chief MRI Technologist at Insight Imaging, where they worked until 2012. During their time at Insight Imaging, they developed a strong background in MRI operations and technology.

In 2012, Cappas joined the Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) as the MRI Operations Manager. Tom held this position until 2014 and was responsible for managing the MRI department's daily operations.

Following their role at CDI, Cappas joined Midstate Radiology Associates, LLC, where they held several positions. Tom started as the Radiology Manager, overseeing the CT, MRI, Scheduling, Sales, and Service Lines. After two years, they transitioned to become the Director of Business Development & Outpatient Imaging, where they focused on developing the business and enhancing outpatient imaging services. In 2018, they were promoted to the Director of Operations, and in 2021, they became the Chief Operating Officer.

In 2019, Cappas also served as a Board Member for the United Way of Meriden and Wallingford, contributing to community development and philanthropic efforts.

Additionally, Cappas has been a part-time faculty member at Quinnipiac University since 2012, where they share their expertise in radiology with students.

Most recently, Cappas joined Hartford HealthCare in 2021 as the HHC System Director, Radiology, where they oversee radiology operations for the healthcare system.

Tom Cappas holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Quinnipiac University - School of Business, which they obtained from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) in Organizational Leadership from the same institution from 2010 to 2012. Their undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Diagnostic Imaging, which they received from Quinnipiac University from 1996 to 2000.
