Midvale City
Karen Kester has extensive experience in accounting and finance, currently serving as the Treasurer for Midvale City since April 2022. Prior to this role, Karen worked as an Accountant for the City of American Fork from June 2020 to April 2022 and held various positions at Vivint Smart Home, including Staff Accountant and Accounts Payable Associate from March 2018 to June 2020. Additionally, Karen gained experience as a Retail Support Teller at Zions Bank from September 2017 to March 2018. Karen holds a degree from Utah Valley University, having completed studies between 2011 and 2017.

Midvale City is located in the center of Utah's Salt Lake Valley. Established in 1909, Midvale has been providing services to residents and businesses for over a century. The city covers about 6 square miles and is the home to nearly 30,000 residents. Midvale is governed by a Mayor and 5 council members.
