Midvale City is located in the center of Utah's Salt Lake Valley. Established in 1909, Midvale has been providing services to residents and businesses for over a century. The city covers about 6 square miles and is the home to nearly 30,000 residents. Midvale is governed by a Mayor and 5 council members. Midvale City employs close to 75 people in various departments: Economic Development, Public Works, Justice Court, Legal and Administrative Services. The city also has other organizations such as the Midvale Community Council, Arts Council, and the Community Building Community initiative. Public safety services are provided by Unified Police Department and Unified Fire Authority.
