Dan Stokes has a comprehensive work experience spanning over several years. Dan started their career at Landmark Bank as an Electronic Banking Representative from March 2006 to April 2007.
Dan then joined MidwayUSA, where they held various roles and demonstrated a strong career progression. Dan began as an Application Developer from April 2007 to October 2009, working on projects such as rewriting inventory systems and developing a receiving discrepancies system.
In October 2009, Dan became an Application Development Manager, supporting Merchandising, Sales, and Marketing. Dan managed a team of 2 to 7 developers. From November 2010 to September 2013, they transitioned to supporting Logistics, supervising a team of 2 to 3 developers.
In October 2016, Dan took on the role of Database Administrator Manager, where they managed a team of 7 database administrators. Dan implemented new measures and upgraded production boxes to SQLServer 2016.
In July 2017, Dan was promoted to Director of Software Development. In this role, they were responsible for the design, development, and improvement of Midway's Application Platform. Dan managed 6 teams and managers, oversaw strategic planning, capacity planning, forecasting, budgeting, and integration with other departments. Dan implemented various changes to enhance performance, security measures, code quality, and deployment processes.
Finally, in July 2022, MidwayUSA split the role into two teams, and Dan became the Director of Software Development - Product. Presently, they are responsible for systems and teams related to product development.
Dan Stokes completed their high school education at Knox County High School from 1998 to 2002 and obtained their High School Diploma. Following that, they attended Columbia College from 2002 to 2007 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. Furthermore, in November 2019, they obtained the certification "Certified Agile Leadership I" from the Scrum Alliance.
