Patty Nowlin has extensive experience in corporate communications and public relations. Patty began their career in 1995 as the Vice President of Public Relations and Resource Development at the Family Service Association of Central Indiana. In 1999, they joined Midwest Energy Cooperative and Midwest Energy & Communications as the Vice President of Corporate Communications. Patty'sroles in these companies focused on leadership in communication and resource development.
Patty Nowlin pursued their education starting from 1985 to 1989 at Franklin College, where they obtained a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Public Affairs. Patty furthered their education by attending the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business from 1991 to 1995 and obtained an MBA with a specialization in Business Administration.

Midwest Energy & Communications (MEC) brings electric, fiber internet, phone, and propane solutions to customers in southern Michigan, northern Indiana, and northwest Ohio. We are dedicated to eliminating the digital divide that limits success for those without access to high-speed communications. Through 2026, we will expand internet and phone service to an additional 30,000+ business and residential customers, ensuring that they have the connectivity they need to thrive. We are also building the Southwest Michigan Advanced Research & Technology (SMART) Park in Cassopolis, MI. We welcome companies seeking to expand or build facilities centrally located in the U.S. SMART Park is a CN Certified Rail Ready Site, which provides direct access to CR Rail’s 20,000-mile network and reduces time from site selection to construction for partnering companies. The Park is also close to major state highways and U.S. interstates. Finally, we house a scalable, state-of-the-art colocation data center in Cassopolis, MI. Our center includes critical systems infrastructure, rigorous incremental multi-tier security, and reliable cross-connects. Point-to-point Layer 2 and Layer 3 IP transport options are available as well as private space and unmetered data.
