Thomas Doherty

Thomas Doherty has a diverse range of work experience in emergency medical services and fire rescue. Thomas most recently worked as a Station Manager at MMT Ambulance, starting in May 2023. Prior to that, they served as an Operations Supervisor at MMT/Midwest Medical from March 2022 to June 2023.

Before their time at MMT/Midwest Medical, Thomas worked as a Field Operations Supervisor at Medical Transport Inc from June 2021 to March 2022. Thomas also served as the Deputy Chief at Mechanic Falls Fire Rescue from September 2018 to November 2021.

Thomas has a strong background in fire rescue, having held positions at Poland Fire Rescue as a Lt. Firefighter/Paramedic from April 2016 to November 2021, and as a Firefighter/Paramedic from January 2012 to November 2021 at the Poland Fire Rescue Department.

In addition, they worked as a Protection Specialist at Pratt & Whitney from April 2015 to October 2015. Thomas began their career in emergency medical services as a Paramedic at United Ambulance Svc from July 2003 to May 2012.

Thomas Doherty has a diverse educational background in emergency management, homeland security, and firefighting. Thomas started their education in 2002 at Northeastern University, where they pursued a Certificate in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic) and completed it in 2003. Later, they attended Southern Maine Community College from 2012 to 2013 and earned a Pro-Board Firefighter 1&2 degree in Fire Science/Firefighting. In 2014, they continued their studies at Southern Maine Community College and obtained a Pro-Board Fire Instructor 1&2 certification. In the same year, Thomas enrolled at Kaplan University and completed an Associate's degree in Fire Science/Firefighting. Thomas further pursued their education at Kaplan University from 2015 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Fire and Emergency Management. Lastly, Thomas attended Purdue Global from 2016 to 2019 and achieved a Master of Science degree in Emergency Management and Homeland Security with a focus on Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Firefighting, and Related Protective Services.
