Thomas Doherty has a diverse range of work experience in emergency medical services and fire rescue. Thomas most recently worked as a Station Manager at MMT Ambulance, starting in May 2023. Prior to that, they served as an Operations Supervisor at MMT/Midwest Medical from March 2022 to June 2023.

Thomas Doherty has a diverse educational background in emergency management, homeland security, and firefighting. Thomas started their education in 2002 at Northeastern University, where they pursued a Certificate in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic) and completed it in 2003. Later, they attended Southern Maine Community College from 2012 to 2013 and earned a Pro-Board Firefighter 1&2 degree in Fire Science/Firefighting. In 2014, they continued their studies at Southern Maine Community College and obtained a Pro-Board Fire Instructor 1&2 certification. In the same year, Thomas enrolled at Kaplan University and completed an Associate's degree in Fire Science/Firefighting. Thomas further pursued their education at Kaplan University from 2015 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Fire and Emergency Management. Lastly, Thomas attended Purdue Global from 2016 to 2019 and achieved a Master of Science degree in Emergency Management and Homeland Security with a focus on Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Firefighting, and Related Protective Services.
