Melissa Williams is an accomplished professional in the field of tissue services and disability assessment, currently serving as the Director of Tissue Services at Midwest Transplant Network since February 2017, after previously holding the position of Tissue Services Performance Manager. Prior to this role, Melissa managed corneal transplant recovery operations at Saving Sight from June 2004 to February 2017, facilitating collaboration among multiple branches and a partner organ procurement organization. Earlier in their career, from July 1998 to May 2004, Melissa worked as a Disability Examiner for the State of Missouri, where responsibilities included assessing claims for Social Security Disability and SSI. Melissa holds a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Bachelor's of Science in Child and Family Studies from Northwest Missouri State University.
